DTRA Linguists

Few inspections would succeed without the help of DTRA linguists. These enlisted men and women, experienced professionals from each of the U.S. military services, receive special arms control language training emphasizing verbal, reading and writing skills. The treaties are a maze of legal, technical and diplomatic terminology in any language. DTRA linguists must know these treaties backward and forward, in English and a second language, usually Russian.
